The charismatic movement (from Greek charismata, « spirituals gift ») is an international Christian movement (all Christians confessions’ together) of renew of the Christian faith. Its members considering that they had been “baptised” by the Holy Spirit.The charismatic movement began with the adoption of certain beliefs typical of those held by Pentecostal Christians (specifically what are known as the biblical charism of Christianity: speaking in tongues, prophesying etc.) by those within mainstream Protestant and Roman Catholic churches. Many charismatic Christians went on to form separate churches and denominations.
